40 DAYS OF HEART PREPARATION 26th JANUARY TILL 6th MARCH 2007

For those intending to take part in the National Solemn Assembly, either in Canberra or locally around the nation, we are providing scriptures upon which you can reflect during the 40 days of heart preparation that we are calling, beginning on Friday 26th January (Australia Day).

These scriptures are designed to allow prayerful contemplation on what God has already spoken through the 40 days of seeking His face, and to stimulate your heart to aspire to a closer walk with Him and a turning from patterns of past behaviour that have resulted in a less than radically obedient response to His commands.

Each week will have a different theme which will correspond with one of the six major areas of sin which He revealed during the 40 days of seeking His face.

It is not a time of praying for the nation, nor even for the Solemn Assembly itself, although both are not excluded should the Lord lead you that way, so specific prayer points are not included.

We invite Churches to include the readings in their weekly bulletins which is why we are sending them a couple of weeks in advance. Another two weeks of readings will be sent on 30th January.
